The refurbishment of a disused retail store involved stripping back the twentieth century pastiche to reveal the structural integrity of the original building, The removal of the existing staircase flights on all floors created a glazed vertical void through the heart of the building, linking all three floors. The result was a light, open and contemporary studio and office space designed to gain maximum daylight whilst maintaining strong visual connections between the various departments within the design agency.
