The house originally deisgned by Paxton Locker Architects was generated from a clear three dimensional diagram of the internal layout split into three definable forms set within a sensitively designed landscape which enhances the integration of the house into the sloped site.
Mooarc undertook a detailed study to look a
t internal alterations of certain areas to the existing house and 2no extensions to provide additional bedrooms, living space and relocated plant room. We identified two areas suitable for extending the house that avoided compromising the original design and openness of the site. Our approach has been to sensitively complement the original form rather than juxtapose a new style.
